This book is about the struggles and very few advantages of being a teen with cancer. This book tells Grace’s emotional roller coaster of a story. Your heart skips a beat when something great comes her way, but breaks when multiple tragedies come time and time again. Hazel found out she had thyroid cancer when she was 13 years old. This was supposed to take her life within a few days considering how she can hardly breath ever, and almost every night water would leak into her lungs and drown her, but somehow a tumor- shrinking miracle bought her a few years. She tries to make her last teen years worth it, especially because she has been diagnosed with depression, but she has no hope until she meets Augustus Waters. After so many ups and downs, this book kept me awake at night. It was so entertaining and I wanted to see what would happen every time I had to stop reading. This book is very emotional but it makes you feel very good, and it almost forces you to rethink life in these characters positions. Overall this was a very good read. |
