It began with Tayden Toledo, who finished with a personal record of 12.4 seconds, placing sixth. Then Alex Mirador earned a new personal record, finishing with a time of 11.6 seconds, and took second place for the boys. One of the few people who made it to districts for the 200 meter hurdles and 75 meter hurdles was Ailish Watson. ”The most difficult part about track was getting over the hurdles quickly; they were difficult to learn,” Watson said. It was very hard to keep up with the coaches with all of the intense workouts and drills and running off campus and on campus. Any drill the coaches had was difficult, but hurdle qualifiers worked hard everyday to not fall, and to have good form. From practicing run throughs to to perfecting the form, everyones form was good in the end. Coach Clark (the hurdle coach) said that, “every great hurdler falls, but you should always get back up and never give up.¨ “I worked hard every day practicing on all of my events, making sure that I was good at everything without complaining, and I never gave up,” said Molly Walters who made it to the district meet for the 200 meter hurdles. There were many people that made it to districts and placed. Ella Smith took first in the 1600 meters with a time of five minutes and 58 seconds.
